Ok, so Jonny had all four of his wisdom teeth removed and the sedative drugs that they gave him made him really quite out of it! I filmed him for several minutes before putting him to bed because I knew he wouldn't believe me when I told him how he was acting!
I showed him the video the next morning and he said it was so strange to watch because he had no memory of it at all and that he definitely wouldn't have believed me if I hadn't caught it on camera!
He was laughing his head off whilst watching it and immediately declared that it must be uploaded on youtube so here it is for your viewing pleasure...
Wow, I didn't realise that it's been almost 6 weeks since I blogged - where has that time gone?!
It's not that I haven't been doing much, I've actually been super busy but I guess there just hasn't been anything of such significance to talk about in a blog post! So let's do a little round up of what's been going on...
I got a digital piano! And other stuff that's been going on...
A few weeks ago I had an interview for a Team Administrator job at the Ministry of Social Development.
The interview was quite in-depth but I felt that it went quite well and later the same day they phoned me and asked me to come back in to sign a form they had forgotten to get me to do and also to ask for my references. I thought this was a pretty good sign and then they told me that I was the perfect candidate for the role and they wanted me for the job. After a few months of job hunting this was music to my ears! Especially as it was by far the best job I had interviewed for and exactly the sort of role and organisation I wanted to be in.
It took a few weeks to sort out all the paperwork and formalities of background and reference checks etc but eventually it all became official and I start on Monday 9th March!
After several months of not working I've been totally bored so I'm really looking forward to being busy and meeting lots of new people. I'm sure it'll be a bit of a shock to the system though and I'll probably be exhausted by the end of the first week!
We've had some fantastic summer weather in Wellington over the last couple of weeks and we've been trying to make the most of it. On the Wellington Anniversary public holiday there was a Birdman competition being held at the waterfront where people jump and attempt to fly before inevitably plunging into the water! The sun was shining so we wandered down to check it out, but we didn't anticipate just how busy it was going to be! Wellington waterfront doesn't really have a pier like they have with other Birdman competitions so with a swarm of people around just one edge of the waterfront it was impossible to actually see anything - especially when you're as short as me!
